Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies has put his hand up for Sierra Leone.
The former Aston Villa stopper admits he wants play international football.
He told the Daily Mail: “My dad comes from Sierra Leone and I’ve had a couple of invitations to play for them in the national side but it’s not the right time.
“The African calendar means playing in January and it would affect my career. We didn’t qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations but if we had, then it would have meant going away now.
