Like many children in Sierra Leone, 13-year-old Kadiatu Kamara lost both her parents in the country’s decade-long civil war.
But she is one of the lucky ones. Not only has she been given the chance of an education, she no longer has to fear the daily threat of rape – because her school is one of the few to have separate boys’ and girls’ toilets.
