After hours of trade negotiations and alliances made and lost, the Monroe High School marketing students representing Sierra Leone took home the prize in a recent day-long interactive economic summit providing real-world experiences.
“We’re really trying to reach out beyond our school walls to understand about the world. Washington has such a number of ties with foreign trade in general. It’s important to make our students aware of that,” marketing teacher Darby Vigus explained.
