The organization  was established on 6th October, 1998 to enhance youth and community empowerment in that part of the country thereby providing conducive learning environment through the provision of  electricity for pupils taking both the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior Secondary School Certification Examinations (WASSCE).
